By filling out this form, you let us know that you, your family, or your group wants to get involved with a local Global Refuge partner or affiliate.  Volunteer opportunities vary depending on needs, and some positions require applications, additional training, and/or background checks to ensure the safety of the vulnerable populations we serve.   

The new Fresh Change program offers an opportunity to welcome immigrants with a bag of new clothing. Using our toolkit, volunteers can pack as many bags as they’d like and send them to our neighbors at the border. You can even host a Fresh Change packing party!  

Border Servant Corps is a hospitality center for refugees and asylum seekers in Las Cruces, NM. Immigrants from all over the world make their way to the southern border, and as a result translators and interpreters are invaluable to the work of welcome.  Sign up here to interpret via phone or Zoom.

Immigrants held in detention centers need to know that we remember and care about them, particularly while Covid-19 prevents in-person visits. Join or start a Pen Pal program to become a friendly voice of welcome to detained immigrants. 

In-person visits to immigrants in detention are currently on hold; however, virtual visits are often an option! Moreover, we want to be ready to spring into action as soon as restrictions are lifted. Learn more about how you can do that here.

Sadly, the journeys of refugees and asylum seekers often separate families, leaving children unaccompanied in the United States. Foster care is a mutually life-changing commitment that offers immigrant children a loving home, while pursuing family reunification. Learn more here.
